Camp Discovery, a unique outdoor learning space located in Blythewood, SC, provides students from all over the state with authentic, inquiry-based learning experiences with a focus on the natural world. Taking advantage of expansive and rich outdoor spaces, Camp Discovery is currently offering a variety of exciting program experiences. As an official NASA GLOBE (Global Learning and Observation to Benefit the Environment) Program Pilot Site, we are able to provide participants with unique opportunities to take part in becoming citizen scientists.

Program Information

Our experiences at Camp Discovery are designed to encourage participants to be environmental scientists by asking thoughtful questions, making observations and communicating their findings. Our Programs run about two and a half hours, with a short snack break.  Snacks are brought/provided by the participants.  Community and school groups are welcome to stay after the program is finished to enjoy a bring-your-own picnic lunch at camp.
